Terms of Service
Effective date: September 6, 2026 ยท Version 1
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of EasyApply: the web application, the browser extension, and the related services (together, the "Service") operated by [Your legal name], doing business as EasyApply ("EasyApply", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
EasyApply helps you apply for jobs. You build one or more applicant profiles (optionally by importing a CV), and the browser extension fills job application forms on supported third-party career sites from the profile you choose. Applications you submit are recorded in a tracker, where you can also add job posts manually or from a URL, keep notes, and track status.
The Service is currently offered free of charge and is under active development. Features, supported sites, and limits may change, and we may introduce paid plans in the future. A free tier will remain available.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.
- You can sign up with an email address and password or through Google or LinkedIn. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. One person per account; accounts may not be shared or transferred.
3. Your content
"Your Content" means everything you put into the Service: profile details, CVs, work history, answers, notes, job posts, and the application data the extension captures on your behalf. You own Your Content. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit it solely to operate the Service for you. That includes sending relevant parts of it to the AI providers and infrastructure providers described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content. You represent that it is accurate, that it concerns you (or that you have the right to use it), and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
4. AI-generated content
The Service uses large language models to extract information from your CV, to draft answers to application form fields (including free-text screening questions), and to parse job posts. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.
- You must review everything before you submit it. You are solely responsible for the content of every application you send, including AI-drafted answers.
- You must not submit information you know to be false, including about your identity, qualifications, work authorisation, or experience.
- We do not guarantee that a filled form is complete or that a submission will succeed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to apply on behalf of someone else without their authorisation.
- Use the Service to spam, mass-apply to positions you have no genuine interest in, or otherwise abuse employers' application systems.
- Violate the terms of service of any career site or applicant tracking system you use the extension on, or use the Service where doing so is prohibited by the site.
- Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service, or attempt to access other users' data.
- Upload malware or content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringing.
6. Third-party sites and services
The extension operates on third-party websites we do not control. Those sites may change or block automated filling at any time, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle the applications you submit. Sign-in through Google or LinkedIn is subject to those providers' terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including the extension, the web application, and their design and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your profiles, CVs, and job posts from within the app. To delete your account entirely, email support@easy-apply.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where practical we will give you notice so you can retrieve Your Content.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We make no promise about job outcomes.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, profits, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content, your applications, or your breach of these Terms or of a third-party site's terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the new version here and update the effective date; for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
